U11s SB Frankfort Girls Football team

fullsizeoutput_1c65 ”In their first ever league game the girls played away vs Marine Academy Juniors Girls, the girls went ahead and played well, only to concede two late goals near the end, and   narrowly lose a great, close game.

In their second game they came up against a Plymouth Aspire Girls side with plenty of experience, with only the bare 7 players that day due to exams and illness, the girls came away with an unfortunate loss by only two goals.

In their third league game they came up against a much experienced AFC Plympton Girls side who have been together for over a year. The girls unfortunately lost but scored two goals to further give their confidence a boost.

The following Sunday some of the girls took part in some bag packing to raise more funds for the girls which will help go towards the cost of coats which will be sorely needed in the coming months with the weather becoming more colder.

In a cup game the following week the girls played Plympton again with the game a much tighter affair, the girls narrowly losing by the one goal but scoring three in the process.

7th October, the girls came up against Plymouth Trophyman Girls which saw them come away from the game with their first ever win. Goals from five of the girls made the result a bit one sided but making great progress.

The girls thank GMB for your sponsorship of the kit.

GMB Plymouth Health Branch are the proud recognised kit sponsor for the SB Frankfort U11 Girls Football Team.

SB Frankfort were formed in 1977 by Ron Hart, named after a shop, ran by Ron, called Signal Box which was based in Frankfort Gate in the City Centre.

In 2017 we celebrated our 40th Anniversary and the club has seen a rise in teams within the club in the last 3 years, with more than 20 boys team and 6 girls sides.

We know that in our league in September there are other teams who wear the same colour yellow tops as us so this kit would be a great help in resolving the kit clash issues.

The girls are seen as non-competitive this season so team results and scorers will not be posted in the local paper’s and league websites but the following year they will be.

If Any members wish to attend a game they are more than welcome to and you can see first hand what we do here at this historic club.

Training: Tuesdays at Plymouth College Preparatory School 6 – 7pm
